As an invited speaker at BioMET ‘26, I presented applications of artificial intelligence to diagnostic workflows, including MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and image recognition.
Hands-on workshop, BioMET '26 pre-conference workshop: Clinical AI Transforming Diagnosis, Treatment & Beyond, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India
I designed and delivered a hands-on session on reproducing a clinical machine-learning study with Orange Data Mining. Participants explored EHR-derived tabular data, missingness and class imbalance, built visual machine-learning workflows, and interpreted diagnostic metrics including sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value.

I served as an instructor at this hybrid ESCMID workshop, which brought together more than 150 participants from medical microbiology, infectious diseases, and data science. The course combined expert lectures and practical sessions on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to routine microbiological diagnostics.
